Training Students for Great New Jobs for 40 Years

North American Trade Schools got its start in 1970, when Sheldon Monsein, president of Central GMC/Kenworth, Inc. in Landover, Maryland founded the first-ever diesel trade school in the state, the Diesel Institute of America (DIA).

We’ve steadily grown since then to become one of the premier technical/industrial training schools in the country, changing our name to the North American Trade Schools (and moving to our current location in Baltimore) in 2004.

What You Learn

When you take vocational training for a program like industrial maintenance, you learn practical skills that allow you to repair and maintain a wide variety of machines and equipment that are required for many industries to function.

The knowledge that a professional with industrial maintenance training might possess consists of:

Each of these areas is essential to industrial maintenance because industries rely on everything from complex machinery to the electricity that flows through them and, because of that, skilled professionals are always needed for a variety of jobs. These are jobs that can include pneumatic system or drive system repair, general maintenance, welding, and many others.

Since these jobs require a lot of technical knowledge, the training that it takes to excel in these fields is something that is best learned in a hands-on environment from experienced instructors, but doing so can put you on a career path with several opportunities.

Companies across a wide range of industries are always looking for talented professionals who can diagnose, repair, and maintain the machines they need in order to function.

That’s a role you can easily fill through the right industrial maintenance schools in Maryland.

How You’ll Benefit

When you get up in the morning, you’ll be going into a job that makes a difference while, at the same time, allowing you to live the life that you truly want.

Your industrial maintenance salary may allow you to live comfortably and do what you want.

Not only that, but the skills that you gain will make you a marketable prospect for employment no matter where you go, because there will always be a need for the skills that you possess.
